Julie A. Kachgal, MPA, CEM, CBCP

Julie A. Kachgal began her career as a specialist at New York City’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM). During her time at OEM she coordinated various planning initiatives and participated in emergency response efforts at New York City’s Emergency Operations Center. Ms. Kachgal joined The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) in 2007 as a Crisis Management Specialist. She was responsible for implementation of crisis management policy to the company’s global business units. She provided guidance in planning, training and exercise. Currently, Ms. Kachgal oversees the emergency planning efforts for Warner Bros. Studios. She sets the emergency management standard and manages various planning teams to meet the planning objectives.
Ms. Kachgal is the Chair for the International Association of Emergency Manager’s (IAEM) Public Private Partnerships Committee. She is credentialed through IAEM as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and through the Disaster Recovery Institute as a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from the University of North Texas and a Master’s Degree (MPA) in Emergency and Disaster Management from the Metropolitan College of New York.
